A Brief Testimony From A Lifestyle Of Hypocrisy.

A brief testimony from a lifestyle of hypocrisy. (Why it is never too late for you).

I was raised in church. I played Christian for years. I went to church even as an adult and did not know the Lord, even though I pretended to be someone else. I sang His music and continued in my sin. I drank constantly and did prescription drugs. I was the ultimate hypocrite! I was almost always high. I hid those things from everyone.

For most of my adult life, I was not genuine. I was a fraud. I sinned and did many shameful things, even as I claimed to be a Christian. I batteled with addictions and sin. I hurt others. I wound up crushed and broken in my hypocrisy.

Thankfully that with most of my sins, I was too high at the time to even remember what I had done. To this day, large swaths of my memory are missing! Finally, and thankfully, I crashed and burned. I wound up feeling completely defeated. I even ended up in a treatment center for my addictions. Somehow, through all of that God never gave up on me. He never gave up on me!

When I did finally give my heart truly to the Lord, everything changed! I changed. God forgave me, even though I had destroyed a marriage, and had sinned with and against others and had hurt other people.

Sometimes, I still struggle with forgiving myself. I pray constantly to learn how to forgive myself the way God has forgiven me. I also pray that those I sinned against can forgive me. If God can forgive me, He can forgive you too!

It's never too late. I often tell people when I sing or play God's music, that I truly believe I am the least Christian in the room. But, God does not see us that way. God casts our sins in the sea of forgetfulness. The Bible says he wipes our sin away, never to be remembered!

If you feel lost in life or broken, if you have had a similar lifestyle to mine, or you currently are living a life in sin or hypocrisy like I did, remember this; God has forgiven me, He will forgive you too! He will walk with you through your struggles. He promises to never leave you nor forsake you.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life when you accept Jesus! Repent from your sins, invite Jesus to be Lord of your life. It's never too late. God loves you. He has forgiven me. He will forgive you too. Ask Jesus into your heart today. Make Him Lord of your life. Then you too can say...

"Thank you Lord that you never gave up on me"...
